To replace or remove the 2012 Ford Focus' dome lights, pull the cover's end down from the ceiling of the car. Pull the end down that's closest to the rear of the vehicle. This application works for the rear dome light as well. The bulb sits in the center of the assembly. It can be removed by turning slightly counterclockwise until a "click" is heard. It can then be released. Take the new bulb and insert in the opposite manner. Test the function of the bulb before pushing the dome's assembly back into the ceiling. If the light is not powering on, turn the entire unit 180 degrees to activate function. For the Focus' trunk lights, open the lens by prying on the right hand end of the lens with a flathead screwdriver, and replace the interior plug.

To replace the interior light bulb in a 2012 ford focus you would need to take the following steps: turn the dome light to the "off" position. Remove the bulb lens cover by unscrewing the screws. Unscrew the light bulb from the dome socket. Discard the old bulb. Screw a new bulb into the dome socket until the bulb is tight and secured. Replace the lens cover then push on it to snap it in place or use the screwdriver to secure the screws.
