To replace a headlight on the Chevy Malibu can be a little complicated. You will need to remove the plastic protector running from the left headlight to the right headlight. Once You've removed it, You will need to remove the clips located in front of the tire on the side You will be replacing. After, pop the bottom part of the bumper off so that it can become loose. Lift the top of the bumper off where the headlights are located. Remove the bolts from the headlight that are attached to the front of the car. When they're off, pull on the headlight and it should come right out. You can now replace the headlight bulb and reassemble the headlight and the bumper.
