The best way to change the motor mounts on a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado is to have a mechanic that's set up to do it, do it. If You're looking online for the process, it's likely You're going to be in for a world of hassle and surprise. Sound fun Well, here's an overview --- for me to type all the details for You would be about a small book, which I'm not keen on doing. Here's how You can do it, and realize You'll need to fully hoist the engine out of the vehicle (after disconnecting just about everything on it). Jack Your truck up, and remove the front wheels and well lines. You'll be able to reach three bolts in the engine bay that mount the bottom flange of the mount into the frame. After You remove those, You'll remove the bolts from the top flange: You may have to bend the heat shields out of the way to access them, or remove the one on the passenger side altogether. You'll then remove the serpentine belt, and then You'll be good to go with takeng the engine up. How You accomplish this will depend on what You have: a tow strap is strong enough to lift it. Once You've got the engine in the air, You'll be able to wiggle the mounts out from either the bottom or the side (this is why You removed the wheel well liners earlier). Now, just install Your new mounts and reverse the process above. It sounds a lot simpler here: You'll really regret doing this when You miSSReconnecting a wiring pigtail and end up having to take it in to the shop any way, but You're the boss of You!

There is an easier way after youunbolt the motor mount remove two bolts on top part that bolts to the motor and then it will come apart with the heat shield and the motor mount will come out

Changing the motor mounts on a 2008 chevy silverado involves hoisting the engine to pry the old mounts out then replacing them with new mounts.
