To change the rear wiper blades on Your Ford Escape lift the wiper arm from the window to expose the old blade. Use Your fingers with one handheld between the old blade and the wiper arm. Close to the middle of this assembly. Press the old blade toward the window. The blade's mounting bracket will pop off the plastic bar that is on the wiper arm backside. It is recommended that You change Your wiper blades every 6-12 months. Windshield wipers are made from rubber which is degradable and becomes less effective over time. Many auto parts stores such as Advance Auto Parts and Auto Zone carry a wide variety of wipers. They will even install them for free.

First start by popping out the old wiper blade by pulling the plastic cover off of the base of the wiper arm. Lift the rear wiper off of the arm to show the old blade. Firmly push the blade towards the window to pop off the mounting bracket. Line up the new blade with the bracket bar, and firmly click into place. Replace the arm and then finish by putting the black plastic cover over the base.
