To change the battery in a Ford F-150 key fob, remove the back cover from the keyfob. Remove the battery by inserting a flat screwdriver to the side of the battery, make sure You don't touch any circuitry as this may short it out and render Your remote useless. Install a new battery, make sure the positive side is facing upward, and then put the cover back on. CR2025 batteries are used in Ford F-150 keyfobs. These batteries can be purchased at Your local auto parts stores and retail stores. It only cost $5-$8 to get a new replacement battery. It is also a good idea to keep a spare battery, so You are not stuck without the use of Your fob.
