I'm assuming You've already bought the proper headlights for Your 2012 Chevrolet Colorado, so let's switch them in. This isn't going to be too hard. First, pull Your hood release and pop Your engine hood and use the hood support to keep it propped up. Sure, You can use Your head, but it gets a bit uncomfortable, and You'll get some weird looks because of the black streets from the hood liner. Ask me how I know! Next, look down the front near the headlight house and You'll see the bulb sockets. Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise to loosen and remove it from the housing. You'll have two of these: The low-beams are on the left and the high beams are on the right. Once You've got them out, remove the connect from the back of the bulb. Put the connector on the replacement bulb, stick it back into the housing, and then turn it clockwise to put it back in place. And You're done! Let there be lights!

To change a light bulb, either headlight or brake light, on the 2012 Chevy Colorado you will need to remove the plastic covering over top of it. This can be screwed loose, and then it will pop out. Once the cover is off simply turn the bulb till it is loose, then put a new one in by turning it the other way. Put the cover back on and you will be done.
