To check transmission fluid on a Ford Focus, watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6c4Lx_RXOPk The transmission is one of the most important parts of the vehicle. You will come into problems at some point. The gears may become stuck. If the transmission fluid leaks, that needs to be patched quickly. There might be jerking. Delayed shifts will cause acceleration problems. Hard shifts could come up and that is not good. The transmission could slip. You may experience shudders. The transmission fluid needs to be replaced every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. Along with fluid changes, terrible sounds will come from the transmission. Old transmission fluid will be awful to the ear. A worn out torque converter will cause a headache.

To check the transmission fluid on the ford focus you just need to open the hood and remove the dipstick. Insert the stick into the fluid reservoir and note the levels.

You guys are so intelligent. Because if you knew anything about the Ford Focus the newer ones you cannot check them from under the hood they don't have a dipstick

To check the transmission fluid on a ford focus, find the dipstick that says transmission fluid. Pull it out and wipe the end of it. Then put it in the dipstick tube and remove it.

To check the transmission fluid on a ford focus, follow these steps: open the hood. Locate the dipstick. Remove dipstick and wipe on a dry material. Insert dipstick and pull it out to determine the level of fluids present.

Pull out the dipstick with the gear shift in neutral or park and let the engine run. Rub the liquid from the dipstick in between your fingers, it should be a pinkish almost clear color, if it looks burnt or smells, the oil needs to be replaced. After checking wipe the dipstick clean and then put it back in the transmission.

To everyone saying find the dipstick. There is no dipstick for the transmission in a 2016 Ford Focus which is why people are asking. It's literally written in the owner's manual that there is no dipstick and the only way to check the transmission fluid levels is to take it into be serviced.
