If the headlights on Your MINI Cooper have began to fade and oxidize then that means that the clear coat on them has started to fail. They are made of plastic and then are clear coated from the factory and that can oxidize and fail on the plastic. To fix this You will first need to use a high grit wet sanding sandpaper to remove the clear coat from the headlights. After that You will need to use a polish to remove the scratches that were put into the plastic by the sand paper. Once the headlights have been polished and are clean You will need to spray them with a clear coat again. If the plastic is left unprotected it will just oxidize again.

To clean the headlights on a mini cooper you need to just spray them with glass cleaner and dry them with a microfiber towel.
