To remove the second row bench seat in Your Chevy Traverse, unbolt the seat from the floorboard of the truck. First unbuckle any seatbelts and secure them against the wall to prevent damage to their sensors. Next push the seatback forward. Push the bench itself forward to reveal 3 bolts attached to the floor. Unbolt these and push the seat backward to reveal the same configuration at the front of the bench. The assembly can be removed after unbolting at least 6 bolts and lifting the part out of the metal tracks still screwed to the floor. Make sure to put the bolts back in their holes to prevent loss. The cargo room in the Traverse can expand up to 98.2 cubic feet with all rear seating removed.
