If You have a modern model year of the Ford Focus, there's a good chance that You're equipped with Ford's proprietary SYNC system, championed by Microsoft. While You may give up a bit of control, it does pay dividends when it comes to ease of use; You'll be able to pair Your phone in only a few minutes. First, You'll need to turn on Your phone, Your Focus (with the engine off and transmission in park), and Your radio/SYNC unit. Enable bluetooth on Your phone, and press the PHONE button on Your Focus. Press OK, then You'll see ADD A DEVICE. Press OK again. SYNC will prompt You to press OK once more to pair a new device. You'll then need to go into Your phone's bluetooth menu, select SYNC, and enter the SRX digit number displayed on Your SYNC screen. After the code is entered, Your phone is paired via bluetooth.

Turn on your bluetooth on your phone. Go to your ford focus' digital display and find phone menu. Your car will ask to pair your device with sync. You will press okay to begin the process.
