If Your model year and trim level of Subaru Outback is equipped with bluetooth functionality, pairing Your phone or other mobile device is a breeze. First thing's first though, You should use the resource center located on Subaru's website to make sure Your device is compatible. You'll be prompted to enter Your phone's model information to ensure compatibility with the bluetooth system. Hold down the "TALK" switch on Your steering wheel for three seconds. Once the screen is activated, use the radio knob to select Your language. Turn the radio know to "PAIR PHONE", and then press the knob to confirm. Turn the knob to "RECORD NAME", and press to confirm. Record the name of Your phone. Press the "TALK" switch again to confirm. Your Outback will have generated a pass key; go into Your phone's bluetooth settings, find the device, and enter the passkey. Your Outback will give You a confirmation that everything has successfully paired.
