To open the hood on a 2019 Ram 1500Locate the hood release lever directly below the steering wheel and give it a pull towards You until You hear the latch click. Go to the front of the truck and lay Your hand flat between the grill and hood slightly to the right of center and slide it towards the left. Right in the center of the hood You'll feel the catch lever move, lift the hood with Your other hand. The Ram has shocks on both sides of the hood to assist in lifting it and will hold the hood up, so there isn't a prop rod that needs to hold it up.

Popping the hood on your 2019 ram 1500 is a two-step operation, you need to release the hood lock within your 1500, and then you need to release the safety key under your hood in front of your 1500. The video above shows the location of both hood latches.
