To open the gas cap on the Mitsubishi Eclipse You will need to first open the fuel door. To do this You will want to hit the fuel door button on the main console dash, just to the left of the steering wheel. You can also open it up manually by pulling. Once You have it open You can unscrew the gas cap and it will come right off.
