When the battery is dead in Your Chrysler 300 You will need to access it from in the cabin to open it. You can unlock the door on the vehicle with the physical key and then can get into it. After that You will need to fold down the rear seats of the car using the handles on the top of them. Once the rear seats are down You can crawl into the trunk area and pull the emergency release handle and that will allow You to open the trunk. The easiest way to open the trunk though is to just charge or jump start the battery and then use the buttons on the fob or on the dash.

To open the trunk in the Chrysler 300 remotely, press and hold the "Trunk" button for two seconds. The trunk lid would be unlocked and partly opened. There is also a trunk-release button on the dash to the left of the steering wheel, which can be activated with a dead battery.

Definitely you are not able to open the trunk with a dead battery. Like Alex suggested, I was able to access the trunk ONLY the rear seats. Thanks for the help:)

The button on the dash is not able to pop the trunk when the battery is dead. As Alex S. Said, you'll have to go through the back seat into the trunk and pull the emergency release.

If the battery is dead the remote will not work. The key will not unlock the door as they are synced together. Will have to get the door open then the vehicle can be jumped started from under the hood.

The emergency release is on the inside right where the latch is - in the middle of the rear wall.

I just helped a girl with a dead battery. I popped the hood, and put the jumper cables on the positive post and negative to the engine block. So, you don't need to access the battery to give the car a jump.

You can either use a Jump Pack or jumper cables attached from a running car to the jump posts under the hood on the passenger fender panel; this will power the remote button on the dash or on the trunk, then you don't need to crawl into the trunk through the back seats

Not an answer but another question! What do you do if can’t get to backseats? My back doors won’t open even from inside and I can’t fold down the front seats to get to back!

Open the hood..on the passanger side by the wheel well, you will see a red terminal, and slightly behind it and towards the engine a black terminal...you can jump start the car thru these remote terminals

Thank you! The method of going through the backseats worked for me.
