To reset the oil light in a 2015 Subaru Outback turn the key in the ignition to ON. Pull the i/SET switch towards You and hold it until the selection screen appears. Locate and highlight Maintenance by using the up and down arrows. Pull the i/SET switch again. Highlight the Engine Oil option using the arrows and select by pulling i/SET again.Use the up and down arrows to change the mileage interval and service date. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to make sure the reset was completed. If You have a Touring trim with the multimedia navigation system, press the Car Info button in the lower left corner of the main menu. Click Maintenance, and then delete any events listed that You jut had completed. Click Add Event to set up the next date or mileage maintenance interval reminder. Click Finish, and it should be saved.

To perform an oil reset on the 2015 subaru outback you need to turn it on, but do not start the engine. Find the reset button on the console dash and hold it. When the light blinks and stops turn the vehicle off and wait 5 min. Your oil is now reset.
