The Ford Mustang's HomeLink's pretty awesome, isn't it? Here's how you can progRam it. Turn on your vehicle. You'll need to also be sitting in your vehicle, so if you've installed a remote start, that's not kosher here. Hope in, and now, hold your old garage door transmitter a few inches away from the HomeLink button strip on the visor. Choose which of the three buttons you want to progRam, and push that one in as well as the transmitter button for your garage door opener. When the HomeLink indicator light goes from its slow blink to a solid or rapidly flashing one, you know it's detected; keep holding the button down for 5 seconds and then release; it should open your garage door now!

Press the sync button on both the garage opener and the key. Then hold the button on the key till it blinks.
