Having a stuck coolant cap on the Ford Focus line is a known issue. In some cases, You can take the truck to an official Ford dealer and they will do it for free. If this is not the case then You can try a few things at home. First, make sure You push down on the cap while trying to remove it. If this does not work You may try using a prybar and wrench for better grip. Finally, You can also apply a lubricant, like WD40, and see if this helps. Spray it around the edges, and give it a little time to work into the seal. If none of this works then You can take it to a mechanic, but they will likely charge You a little bit to do it.

If unable to twist the coolant cap of try prying it up with 2 screwdrivers or any metal object.

Give up and buy a Chevy! Been driving Fords for over 30 years. Time to loose the loyalty and move on..

A stuck coolant cap is a common issue with some ford focus vehicles and you may be able to have it fixed for free under warranty. Besides that route, you can spray silicone lubricant around the edges and wait for it to penetrate before trying to unscrew it again.
