Removing a door panel on a Ford Escape is a fairly straightforward process. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, and a Torx T-30 star bit screwdriver. Begin by removing the upper edge, lower outer edge, and inner edge screws. Pry out the door pull trim and remove the door pull screw. Set all screws somewhere safe. Pry the door handle trim away and then remove the trim panel piece. You'll need to use the T30 screwdriver for the screws near the handle. Pull the sail panel away. You may need the flathead screwdriver to pry it away from the door frame. It's a good idea to put thin cloth over the head of the screwdriver to avoid scratching the paint. Pull the panel away at all the edges and lift it off the frame.

To start, remove the phillip's head screw in the door pull. Use a flatbed screw driver to pry off the trim inside the door. Then remove the door handle, the window trim, and the door panel with your hands.
