Many owners opt to remove and replace the Ford F-150's power steering pump when the assembly begins to "whine" and lose traction. Unclip the clamps on both intake hoses and release. Loosen the serpentine belt's pulley with a 15 mm wrench by turning it counterclockwise. Using a special removal tool, loosen the pulley circulating around the pump's assembly. Place a drain pan beneath the truck and unscrew the pressure-side power steering line where it meets the PSP. Release the assembly's second hose and unbolt the pump from its bracket. Continue to drain the PS fluid in the reservoir. Install the new PSP using the three mounting bolts You have removed and replace the o-rings in the PS lines when re-connecting.
