To replace the 2008 Ford Escape shift solenoid You will need to remove the valve body, and depending on how bad the issue is You will need to have parts of the transmission replaced. Due to this You will need to take this to the shop and have them do it. The reason for this is that You will need tools and gear that an average person will not have, so You need to go to the shop. It will cost You about 1200 to 2000 to have this done, and it will be about a 2 day job.
