To replace the power steering belt in a 2009 Ford Flex You will first open the hood and locate the belt. You will have to jack up the vehicle but make sure it is in a secure jack location and that the vehicle is on a level surface. You will have to put the car in neutral and remove the 4 screws on the fender splash shield. Now You can locate the drive belt tensioner and remove the hexBolt there to loosen the belt. When the belt breaks You will have no power to the alternator, air conditioner and power steering pump will stop working. The cost to replace a belt will range from $25 - $75 and will take about an hour of labor to complete the job.
