To replace the Ford Explorer windshield trim was not something the car ever had in mind when it was made. The panel that comes with it is not meant to be removed and You will break it when You pull it off. Once You have it off You will see seven broken clips that are in place. With a screwdriver, You will need to pop them out and get rid of them. The new panel You bought will have new clips and instructions, but more or less what You need to do is put the clips back where the old ones are and then attach the panel to it. Most aftermarket panels are made to be reused, but this is not always the case, so You may need to do this again if You change it out.
