To get started resetting the check engine light on Your 2017 Toyota Camry You're first going to need to give the vehicle power. If You have a model with remote start You can do this from Your key fob or if not You can just get in and press the engine stop start button twice. Now look to Your instruments panel and press the black button located on the bottom right hand corner. You'll want to select maintenance reset and then hold down the button. Now turn the vehicle back off and on again and it will go through it's reset procedure. This is will only take a moment.

The check engine or maintenance light on the 2017 Toyota Camry is a catch all that is designed to alert you to an issue with the vehicle. It gets turned on when the computer in the vehicle detects an error on the vehicle and stores a trouble code. You can read that code with an obd scanner and this will tell you what the issues is. Common issues can include a loose gas cap, the engine misfiring, d***y spark plugs, vacuum leaks, low oil pressure, and nearly anything else. The light can also come on to remind you to get the vehicle serviced if you are nearing a mile stone. The check engine light is not often a major issue, but it should not be ignored either. To reset it you will need to fix whatever has set it off.

If you notice a check engine light on your 2017 toyota camry you will need to use an obd ii scan tool in order to determine the source of the failure and then read the code for it.
