The maintenance light in Your 2006 Toyota Highlander will usually be turned off by the dealership when they do the service but if You are the one changing the oil and filter the following steps will help You reset the light. First thing You need to do is turn the ignition on but do not start the engine. From there You will need to locate the odometer reset button, once You find it You will need to press and hold it while turning the ignition to the off position and then back to the on position. Once Youve done this You can release the odometer button and turn off the ignition and remove the key. You should start the engine after just to make sure everything worked as it should but other than that You are done.
