The maintenance light on Your 2016 Toyota Highlander is there to let You know that You need to get services done to Your SUV. Usually a dealership or a mechanic will reset the light after they do them, but if they forgot, or You are doing services Yourself then You will need to reset it. Resetting the light is pretty easy. All You need to do is put the vehicle in the on position with the engine off. Press the odometer until You see the mileage on the display. Turn the ignition off. Then press and hold the odometer button until You see the maintenance light blink and turn off. This will reset the light and it will turn on again in a few thousand miles to remind You to service Your car again.

1) Vehicle in Park with the engine running press the ODO/Trip button till "Trip A" is displayed. 2) Stop engine. 3) Without pressing brake pedal, Hold the ODO/Trip button and press "Start/Stop" button 2 times. Continue holding ODO/Trip as resetting display counts down then release.

This is the quickest way to reset your Maintenance Required reminder, especially with keyless ignition. Don’t waste your time on YouTube videos.
