The Oil Change Required light in Your Ford Transit comes on when the life of the fluid is below 5%. After it has been replaced, this needs to be reset to 100% to turn the light off.Begin by turning the key in the ignition to ON, but don't start the engine. Individuals with an ignition start button will need to press it once without applying pressure to the brake. Next, press the gas and brake pedals at the same time all the way to the floor and hold them there for 25 seconds. At this point "Service: Oil Reset Complete" will show up on the display. This confirms that the process is done and oil life is back to 100%. Turn the ignition off. Lastly, start the engine to confirm the light remains off.
