To make use of bluetooth on the Ford Escape, You're going to need to pair Your mobile phone with Your car. Don't worry, it's not as scary as it sounds, and there hasn't been any (proof) of robots from the future coming back through time portals to bring about the apocalypse from doing this. The process may differ slightly depending on the version of Ford SYNC You have, but in general, You'll want to use the touchscreen to select Phone, which will let You access the phone menu. From there, You can click on Add, and then You'll see a prompt to Search for SYNC on Your device. When You do, follow the prompt and do that: You'll want to also go to Your phone's bluetooth menu and search for SYNC. When You see the SRxDigit PIN number on the SYNC screen, You can confirm it matches, at which point, You'll have completed the bluetooth setup. Congratulations! That wasn't too hard, was it

To set up bluetooth in your ford escape's sync 3 system, have your phone turned and the vehicle engine running. Enable bluetooth in your phone "settings." Also, enter "settings" on your sync 3 information screen. Select "bluetooth." Then, choose "add bluetooth device." Check your phone's bluetooth settings to see that it is scanning for bluetooth devices and "ford sync 3" shows up. Click on it to activate the same pin on your phone and on the car's information screen. Verify and accept the pin to complete linking bluetooth to your vehicle.
