Turning off the paddle shifters in a Mercedes varies between vehicle years and models. Some models will have a button on top of the center console that You press to take it in or out of manual mode which puts the transmission back into automatic mode or into manual so You can shift using the paddles. Other models You will have to hold both paddle shifters at the same time for a few seconds until the display is out of manual mode and is showing the regular gears on the dispay.
