To turn off the backup alarm in a Ford Transit simply shift the gear selector out of reverse and into park or neutral. You can permanently disable it by disconnecting the wire going to the alarm. The alarm is wired with the backup lights, and shares a common fuse, so trying to remove the fuse isn't an option as it will remove the power to the lights as well. It is located behind the rear bumper. Loosen the nut with wired to the alarm and wrap electrical tape on the connector to keep it from making contact and arcing. You could also cut the wire with some snips and tape them to protect the bare wires.

You need to go into the menu on the console and turn it off.
