Porsche's launch control is, essentially, a method by which the vehicle goes from a complete stop to full operating capacity as quickly as possible. Porsche designed the system with Formula One racers in mind -- but it was later banned by the institution. However, it's still available on several consumer models. If You have the AP3-POR-006-PDK, AP3-POR-007-PDK, AP3-POR-010-PDK, AP3-POR-011-PDK, or AP3-POR-012-PDK access port, You'll be able to use launch control. To engage, You'll first need to depress the brake pedal to 100%. Then, quickly depress and hold the accelerator pedal to 100%. You must pass the kickdown switch. Your RPMs should hold at the preset launch control level -- this varies, but is usually greater than 5500. Release the brake pedal quickly while keeping the accelerator at 100% -- launch control will take it from here.

To launch control in a Porsche, press the pedal all the way to the floor. While doing that, press the accelerator down 100%, too. It has to pass the kickdown notch. The revs will stay at that preset launch control RPM. Release the brake and keep the accelerator depressed.
