The 2012 Toyota RAV4 LSD light is not an indication that anything is wrong. It lights up when the Rav4's VSC (vehicle stability control) is turned off to help You get out of deep snow or mud. You can engage the "Limited Slip Differential" button while operating under severe weather conditions or off-roading. With VSC switched off, the LSD is able too send power to the wheel with the greatest traction without reducing engine power as the traction control does. To turn it on, depress the VSC "off" button. At this point traction control will also be disengaged. The LSD light will flash and light and only switch off if the brakes become overheated or You depress the vehicle stability control on again.
