The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1259 on a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid indicates "HV System Regenerative Malfunction". In simple terms, it means that You likely have a failed hybrid control system, or a faulty hybrid control ECU. If You're getting the code, it's also very likely that Your ABS warning light is illuminated. If You're getting this DTC, it's very likely that You'll soon need to replace Your hybrid engine control unit. Unfortunately, this is quite a pricey part -- You likely won't find it for under $200. It's not a critical fault in the beginning, but it can reduce braking power so please proceed with caution. As always, if You don't get it fixed in a reasonable amount of time, the problems could worsen and You may be in for a world of trouble.
