The oil change interval for the Ford F-150 is every 5,000 miles. Having high quality oil is key for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into issues with the oil at some point. A common problem is an awful burning odor. This needs to be viewed closely as soon as possible or the car might explode. Bad oil can cause the engine to fail. Knocking noise may show up from the engine. You could experience poor gas mileage. Your oil needs to be changed out someday. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles or so is a good rule of thumb. If You don't replace it, there will be problems with the engine.

An oil change should be performed between every 5000 to 7500 miles depending on the model. Closer to 5000 for 2007 and older models, and closer to 7500 for 2008 and newer models.
