After having the oil changed in Your Ford Focus, You will need to reset the maintenance light. This only takes a few minutes and doesn't require any tools. Begin with the car parked and all doors closed. Turn the key in the ignition to ON, but don't start the engine. You'll need to push Your start/stop button without pushing the brake pedal, if You have a push button start. Press the gas and brake pedals at the same time all the way to the floor and hold for 25 seconds. After this You should see "Service: Oil Reset Complete" on the vehicle's display. Once You see this, release both pedals. Turn the ignition to the off position. Start the vehicle to make sure the reset has been completed properly. The light should not be on anymore.

To reset the oil change indicator in a ford focus turn the key to the on position without starting the engine, then hold down the gas and brake at the same time for 20 seconds and the display will say "resetting oil".

You are a genius. Thank you so much. I'll just add that on my 2013 Focus ST I got an "in progress" message after a few seconds. So for anyone nervous before trying about waiting the right amount of time, you'll see that it's working and then see when the message changes to completed.
Ik heb een ford focus automaat van 2013 met start knop zonder sleutel en heb dit al geprobeerd, maar er gebebeurd niets
