Mercedes-Benz vehicles are typically known for not only their luxury, but also their reliability. While the 2004CLK320 isn't without its problems, they typically occur at a lower frequency than one would expect. Top reported issues are oil leaks, a broken stepper motor causing clicking noises, and crankshaft position sensor failure. Depending on the cause and location of oil leaks, this may be Your simplest or most difficult fix. Another common issue to watch out for -- the CLK320 requires the use of premium unleaded gasoline, because of the engine's superior compression ratio. Many drivers report engine knock, which can lead to serious problems pretty quickly. However, this is most commonly caused by driver "error" -- that is, using regular fuel in lieu of premium. Be sure You don't fall into this trap.
