The Ford transit power steering pump problems are whining noise while turning and stiff steering wheel. The power steering fluid needs to be replaced every 75,000 miles. Along with changing fluids, You will hear noises from steering parts. A bad bearing will make a nasty sound. A loose bearing will become irritable to the ear. Having great steering is key for changing lanes and moving about on the road. You will someday come across some issues though. The rack mount could become faulty. Steering fluid may leak at one point. It might turn to one side. The steering wheel might become stuck. The steering pump might become loose and that will be disaster for Your vehicle. The strut bearings could become bad.

If the Ford transitis having issues with the power steering pump then you will get whining noises when you turn the wheel, and it will be hard to turn the wheel.

Transit power steering system is very prone to leaking return pipes from rack to bottle. They are made from aluminium and corrode pretty easily
