Several different factors, such as a short or disconnected power cable under the dash, a software bug or problem, can cause the Hyundai navigation system not to function, and it may also be a blown fuse or screen damage. To see if that solves any of the issues, the first thing You can do is perform a device reset. You can perform a reset by pressing and holding the Audio power button for at least 10 seconds. After that, under the dashboard, You should check to see if anything is correctly connected and the wiring or wiring harness is not corrosive or damaged. The next move is to take it to the dealer if all is in order, so they can do some diagnostics to see what the problem is. Depending on how long it takes and the necessary equipment, the cost of the diagnosis can vary from $80 to $120.

I’ve noticed the navigation system in my wifes BRAND NEW Ionique didn’t work right from the day she got it. Two months in, it began working, then suddenly stopped again. It’s hard for me to believe it’s the car, but more the support system/infrastructure that supports the onboard equipment. I wonder if anyone else is suffering the sporadic reliability. That would certainly reinforce my confidence in my belief the trouble is not actually with the car itself…

My 2022 Santa Fe Ultimate Caligraphy has the most unreliable navigation system I have ever experienced. Over the past year, I have been sent to the wrong place, dead ends, closed roads, and ridiculous routes. After having the factory reset it continues to be unreliable which is unacceptable for the top-of-the-line model or any new model

If the Hyundai navigation has an issue with the navigation system or the GPS it may be due to outdated software, signal interference , or the wires providing power may be bad.

My 2009 Hyundai Genesis has 108,000 miles and within the last week developed an intermittent problem where the navigation system shuts down. I did not know how to perform a reset and waited a couple of days by not operating the car. Then when operating the car again the system would then begin operating. After a couple of hours the system shuts down again. I have not tried the reset suggestion, but will. Also is there any wayto update the maps on this model?
