The INFINITI G37 comes equipped with a timing chain, rather than a timing belt. This is good, considering a chain is expected to last for the lifetime of the vehicle, and as such, is often covered by warranty for a period of around 10 years, or 100,000 miles. If the timing chain on Your vehicle experiences issues, You may notice engine mIS Firing, poor performance from the motor, or shavings or metal floating in the oil. You also may experience refusal of the engine to turn over, or the check engine light illuminating on Your dashboard. You also might find that when idling, Your vehicle begins to shake and rattle.
