The 2001 Dodge Ram 1500's flashers and turn signals are enabled in part by a relay stored under the driver's dash near the fuse box. Replace this part if neither light assembly is working. Other causes of hazards or turn signal failure can be due to faulty wiring harnesses or connector pins. Examine both before attempting to replace bulbs. The 2001 Ram 1500 useS3157Sized bulbs. They can be replaced by plugging into the correct ports. If the hazards continue to malfunction it may be due a systemic error with the truck's BCM. The Ram's BCM directs the power windows, locks, instrument panel and lights, among other things. In the Ram 1500 the BCM is under hood near the long rectangular fuse box next to the drivers side of the firewall.
