The most common problem You'll encounter with the air conditioner on Your 2006 Nissan Pathfinder is that the AC compressor clutch will fail. Signs that this has occurred is a squealing sound when You engage the AC, and indicates that the pulley attached to Your compressor has become frozen. The other, quite obviously perhaps, is that it's blowing hot air, due to the clutch not actually activating the compressor. While You may find some used deals on eBay or Your local junkyard, You can find a brand new compatible part on Amazon for around $120; replacing this part Yourself is pretty straight-forward as well, if You want to save on labor costs on top of the cost of the part.

If the air conditioning or the heater on the 2006 nissan pathfinder is not working, then either the fan is not getting power, or the control motor is broken.
