The 2008 GMC Sierra is known to have a bad fuse and AC relay which can cause problems with the blower motor. If the blower motor stops working entirely, You may have to buy a new resistor for it, which might be in the range of $40 to $80. If You take it in to be replaced, the total cost for parts and labor are from about $100 to $140. If Youd rather change it Yourself to save some money, its a pretty fast and easy job. The only tools Youll need are A7mm socket, ratchet and extension, and A7/32 socket. You first need to remove the sound baffle by unscrewing the two 7mm screws. Theres one hidden behind the console, so You need to pull the cover down on the right side. Remove the screws on the resistor. The resistor will come loose, and now You unplug it, and plug the new one in. Rescrew everything and theres nothing else to be done.

Before you replace anything, if you lightly tap the blower motor with a wrench while the key and switch on, it may come alive. Worked for me.
