Some of the common issues specifed with the 2008 Toyota Sienna transmission are slipping, d***y transmission filter, and jerking or shuddering when accelerating. To keep the transmission performing and running efficiently it is recommended to flush the transmission fluid every 60,000 miles. Transmission issues have been reported by the consumer reports in this particular model of Toyota but there can be problems that can arise when getting to higher mileage and extreme usage. If You have any issues regarding the transmission such as slipping, shuddering, or jerking when accelerating make sure to take it in to a service shop as soon as possible to avoid any major damage to the transmission. Transmission is an expensive replacement so its best to always inspect it and flush the fluid every 60,000 miles.

If the 2008 toyota sienna is having issues with the transmission then you will notice several problems, including shaking or grinding while driving, a burning smell when the vehicle is on, the gears slipping when you shift, the shifter becoming stuck or non responsive, and leaking fluids. This can all lead to a transmission failure which will more or less kill the vehicle.
