The 2010 Nissan Maxima CVT suffers a number of issues that relate directly to its transmission systems and design. Some users report heavy shaking or a grinding sound from the gears when driving, among other problems. Other people say that the car has a tendency to emit a strong burning odor when the vehicle is on, but in a stationary position. Others say that they have consistently experienced gear slipping. Finally, the gears can become tight, stuck or completely unresponsive in cases where the car has more transmission fluid than necessary. Get in the habit of topping Your transmission fluid when needed, to MINImize problems which could lead to more serious issues.

If the 2010 nissan maxima cvt is having issues with the transmission then you will notice several problems, including shaking or grinding while driving, a burning smell when the vehicle is on, the gears slipping when you shift, the shifter becoming stuck or non responsive, and leaking fluids. This can all lead to a transmission failure which will more or less kill the vehicle.
