The most common problems with the 2012 FIAT 500 convertible top are usually caused by damage to the motor for the top. When the motor to the top starts to fail it will result in it not being able to go up or down. When that happens You will usually need to open and close it manually. Another common problem is damage to the actual roof frame. When this happens the roof will get out of alignment and that can lead to it not going up and down easily. It will take a lot more force to get it to raise or lower. The top on the vehicle is also made out of fabric and over time that can get worn out and leaks could develop.
