The 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander sport transmission problems are delayed shift and slipping. The transmission is one of the most important parts of the vehicle. You will come into problems at some point. Hard shifts may arise and that is no good. There could be jerking. The gears can become stuck. You might experience shudders. Delayed shifts will cause acceleration issues. If the transmission fluid leaks, that needs to be fixed quickly. The transmission might slip. The transmission fluid needs to be replaced every 30,000 to 60,000 miles. Along with fluid changes, terrible sounds will come from the transmission. Old transmission fluid will be awful to the ear. A worn out torque converter will cause a headache.

If the 2013 mitsubishi outlander is having issues with the transmission then you will notice several problems, including shaking or grinding while driving, a burning smell when the vehicle is on, the gears slipping when you shift, the shifter becoming stuck or non responsive, and leaking fluids. This can all lead to a transmission failure which will more or less kill the vehicle.

A replacement transmission cost $8000 plus installation fees. Wish I would have never bought this one :(
