There are many things that could go wrong with the transmission in the 2014 Chevy Cruze. Some of the most commonly reported issues are leaking seals and transmission lines. Other complaints have been with faulty TCM's which could cause erratic shifting over revving the engine an lack of throttle response. Low fluid levels and d***y fluid are normally blamed for most of the issues. You should inspect the fluid level at least once a month to make sure there is enough there to lubricate the transmission and protect it from wear. The fluid should be replaced at least once every 100,000 miles, or more often if You drive normally in hilly or mountainous areas, which puts an extra strain on the transmission breaking down the fluid more rapidly.

If the 2014 Chevy cruze is having issues with the transmission then you will notice several problems, including shaking or grinding while driving, a burning smell when the vehicle is on, the gears slipping when you shift, the shifter becoming stuck or non responsive, and leaking fluids. This can all lead to a transmission failure which will more or less kill the vehicle.
