What are some of the 2016 Subaru Legacy transmission problems?

The common Subaru Legacy transmission problems usually are caused by issues with the CVT that comes in them. When You are having problems You will usually notice that the vehicle shifts rough between gears, or has delayed shifts between gears. The Subaru Legacy for the 2016 model year comes with a CVT, which is different than a normal transmission. It has a metal spring that gets larger and smaller to give a constantly variable gear ratio to keep the engine running well. Unfortunately these are more delicate than a standard transmission. The CVTs in this car have been known to fail from time to time. Due to the complexity of them most of the time they need to be replaced rather than repaired when they do fail.
