The 2017 Nissan Maxima CVT problems can lead to the vehicle slipping and shuddering as it tries to shift between gears. This is usually a sign that there is a problem with one of the belts or gears inside the CVT and it should be inspected for signs of damage. The CVT is a newer type of transmission that is continuously variable. This is designed to be able to give you better fuel economy by always keeping your engine running at the optimal RPMs. The problem with them is they are much more complex than a standard transmission. This means that moSTShops are not able to repair them, so generally when they fail they will just need to be replaced with a new unit.

If you follow these two suggestions, you’ll not have any problems: 1) Don’t drive like an idiot, you have a reasonably powerful sport sedan, not a race car; 2) Have a transmission drain and fill done every year, if you can. This isn’t real cheap, and you must have it done by qualified personnel, but it is worth it.
