If you want to know some of the transmission problems on the Acura MDX, this is where to be. One of the problems with the transmission is slippage in the gears. Another issue with the transmission is that it would cause vibration while driving which can be caused by a number of reasons. One of the reasons being a faulty transmission mount. Also, some drivers have reported a shuddering in the steering column which is an issue that needs to be repaired right away. If you happen to own this vehicle and you have these issues, I would recommend taking the vehicle to a mechanic as soon as possible.

The acura automatic transmission issues are a common concern for the acura mdx, which has been launched with a 3.5 Lv-6 engine and a 5-speed automatic transmission. The mdx is common, and repair is often required due to its unique nature, causing transmission shifting and slipping problems.
My 2017 MDX transmission does go through some very hard gear changes at lower speeds sometimes which is common with them. I cannot figure how a company like Honda hasn’t been able to correct it by now. All of the newer Honda’s 2016-2020 at least are not made as well as they once were. That’s not just my opinion, that came straight from a Honda service manager of over 15 years when I found out my 2017 Acura MDX needed a new engine. 2003 Pilot with a little over 300,000 miles never had an issue until someone ran into it totaling it although I swear the motor still ran!
