The most common problem on the Acura RLX is with the car's suspension. You'll hear a rattling noise and a clunk as the actuator fails. This was endemic to the 2014 models, which had no less than four recalls! Issues also manifested at under 4k miles. Further issues were with the stock Michelin tires, with consistent blowouts with normal driving, and another issue was with the infotainment system not functioning. Though trivial, it made driving less than pleasant to be without climate controls and media. Yet another issue with this vehicle is the power steering just vanishing, leaving you with a car that you can barely move the steering wheel on; a huge hazard when driving, and probably one of the reasons the RLX has been discontinued.
The acura rlx has been associated with several recalls for certain years, including front seat belts, braking components and loose lower control arm bolts. To see if your vehicle is affected check your vin with the local dealer.
